Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig welcome baby girl
Rachel Weisz and Daniel Craig are the proud parents of a baby girl.
The 48-year-old actress, and her James Bond star husband, 50, told friends they were “very happy” to welcome the arrival of their first child together, according to editors at the Daily Mail.
Oscar winner Weisz announced she was pregnant during an interview with the New York Times back in April.
“Daniel and I are so happy. We’re going to have a little human. We can’t wait to meet him or her. It’s all such a mystery,” she said.
The Hollywood couple successfully kept the details of the pregnancy under wraps, not publicly revealing the due date or the gender of the baby.
Craig and Weisz were last seen together in April, and have been keeping in low-profile at their home in New York in the run up to their baby’s arrival.
While this is their first child together, both stars have kids from previous relationships – Weisz shares son Henry, 12, with director Darren Aronofsky, while Craig has a daughter Ella, 26, with former-wife Fiona Loudon.
The couple began dating in December 2010, and married just six months later in front of only four guests, including Henry and Ella.
Both stars prefer to keep their relationship out of the limelight with Weisz previously telling ES Magazine: “It’s very personal, it’s very private. I don’t think mine’s particularly exceptional apart from that we’re both in the public eye.”
“But I never thought I would get married,” she added. It was not an ambition of mine. It was the opposite.”
A rep for the Hollywood couple has yet to confirm the report.
