JFL founder Gilbert Rozon’s sister-in-law accuses him of sexual misconduct
MONTREAL — The sister-in-law of Just For Laughs founder Gilbert Rozon has become the latest woman to publicly accuse the businessman of sexual misconduct.
Martine Roy tells Montreal radio station 98.5 FM the ex-comedy mogul sexually assaulted her in the mid-1990s.
Roy alleges Rozon sat her on top of a counter in a private room of the Just For Laughs museum and pulled down her underwear and assaulted her.
The radio station says it reached Rozon, who is in France, and that he denied Roy’s accusations just as he has denied the allegations from other women who have accused him of sexual misconduct.
The impresario is being sued for $10 million by a group of women who allege he abused at least 20 women between 1982 and 2016.
Neither the accusations in the class action nor from Roy have been proven in court.
A judge in August allowed Rozon to appeal the decision to authorize the class action.
