‘HE’S DEAD’: Woman reportedly tells son she hit his dad ‘with a baseball bat’
Most parents will happily tell their children what’s going on in their lives.
One Pennsylvania man reportedly got a chilling response from his mother when he went to check up on her.
Penn Live reported an unnamed man went to check up on his mother, Deborah Ann Stephens, after she failed to show up for work. When the man showed up to his parent’s York Springs, Pa., home, his 63-year-old mother refused to let him in.
When asked why, Stephens’ reply was chilling and blunt.
“I hit your father with a baseball bat and he’s dead,” Stephens said, according to a police report.
Prior to the chilling confession, the son had reportedly contacted cops earlier in the day, stating he couldn’t reach them since Wednesday. The man told cops his parents were having marital problems, the police report noted.

According to FOX 43, the son called 911 after his mother’s reported confession. Police soon arrived and found the lifeless body of the man’s father, James Stephens, 65, inside the dwelling. Deborah reportedly admitted to killing her husband with a baseball bat.
Cops noticed bruising on James’ body that was consistent with baseball bat strikes. His wife was transferred to a hospital for observation, where cops reportedly saw blood stains on her shoes and self-inflicted wounds on her wrists.
Deborah was transported to Adams County Prison in Gettysburg, Pa., and charged with murder.
The Stephens were known to police. They had recently visited the couple’s home for domestic violence incidents that occurred on Aug. 21 and 28. In one instance, Deborah allegedly hit James with a television remote.
