Disney star David Henrie released on bail 3 hours after loaded gun arrest at LAX
Disney star David Henrie, best known for his staring role opposite Selena Gomez on ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ bailed out of a Los Angeles jail just three hours after he was arrested for carrying a loaded weapon into LAX, RadarOnline.com exclusively learned.
Henrie, 29, was released after posting a $10,000 bail according to Los Angeles County Sheriff’s officials. The Disney actor was arrested on Monday, Sept. 10, 2018 at about 9 a.m. as he was going through TSA screening to board a Delta flight in Terminal 3, according to Officer Rob Pedregon, spokesman for the Airport Police.
Henri was allegedly carrying a Smith & Wesson 9 mm handgun that was loaded. He was handcuffed and arrested by LAX Police and booked at the LAPD Pacific Division for possession of a loaded firearm, Pedregon said.
Henrie bailed out about noon.
“He was cooperative and we had no issues on the arrest,” Pedregon told Radar. “He doesn’t have a concealed carry permit, or CCW, so he definitely should not have had possession of (the handgun).”
A court hearing has yet to be scheduled for Henrie.
Henrie posted a statement about the situation on his Instagram page on Monday afternoon after he was released from jail.
“I take responsibility for the situation at LAX today. I unintentionally brought my legally owned gun which is registered in my name to the airport. I am so sorry for any trouble it caused, but I am appreciative of TSA’s efforts in implementing the safety laws that are in place to protect our beautiful country,” Henrie wrote.
“More than anything I am humiliated and embarrassed that this even happened but I am thankful to the TSA, LAPD and all involved today for their kindness and their professionalism during this process.”
