Aretha Franklin ‘gravely ill’ in Detroit
Queen Of Soul Aretha Franklin is gravely ill at her home in Detroit, it has been reported.
The 76-year-old performer – who has won 18 Grammys – has been battling cancer.
Her family is asking for prayers and privacy at this difficult time.
She was originally diagnosed with the illness back in 2010 and has been bravely fighting it over the past few years.
Her last performance was on November 2, 2017 for the Elton John AIDS Foundation in New York.
She publicly performed at Philadelphia’s Mann Center in August 2017 despite battling exhaustion and dehydration.
It is understood that her family and friends are at her bedside trying to comfort the famous singer.
Rolling Stone Magazine named her the Number 1 singer of all time and she has had an amazing career to date.
